This is a Serious Sign from God to you!

Perhaps you have seen one of our signs on the streets or a college campus, maybe you just found this website some other way. Either way, this website is a Serious Sign from God to you. Please take time for your soul.

You only have one life to live, and with only its limited time to choose to get right with God. God loves you and He is not willing that you perish. Many are religious today, but actually are not in a right relationship with God and will perish. Anyone still living in willful sin is not right with God. Below is a basic information about salvation with and audio message and some scriptural steps towards biblical salvation.

Why do I need salvation?

Every one of us has sinned against God (see Romans 3:23).

Romans 3:23 - "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."

Sin is the violation of God's commands to do what is right or not to do what is wrong (see 1 John 3:4 & James 4:17).

1 John 3:4 - "Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law."

James 4:17 - "Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin."

Because of our sins we are not able to see God or enter Heaven (see Hebrews 12:14 & Revelation 21:27).

Hebrews 12:14 - "Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:"

Revelation 21:27 - "And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life."

Our sins have separated us from God and prevent us from going to Heaven one day. Romans 6:23 says,

"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

Not only does sin separate from God, it brings death. God in his mercy, has offered to us a way out of that death. We can have eternal life through Jesus Christ. He freely offers us redemption and deliverance from our sins. We need salvation to be freed from the clutching grasp of sin.

How do I receive this salvation?

Here is a good sermon to explain: A Biblical New Birth

Step 1: Confess

Scripture says, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9).

This means that God will forgive our sins if we want and ask Him to. We must not cover up our sins or blame them on someone else. Instead, we should admit them to Jesus Christ.

You can pray, "Jesus, I confess that I am a sinner. I confess to You that I have broken Your law more times than I can remember." If God brings some sin to your mind, confess it to Him.

Step 2: Repent

Scripture says, "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the Gospel" (Mark 1:15).

God commands us to repent. But what is repentance?

"For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death" (2 Corinthians 7:10).

The sorrow of the world is a sorrow for a wrong deed with no desire to change. It's like a child stealing a candy bar. Yes, he'll feel sorrowful when he's caught, but he still wants candy and so he steals another one later.

Godly sorrow, on the other hand, is sorrow for a wrong deed with a desire and commitment to change. If the child stole a candy bar and was caught, he could demonstrate godly sorrow by deciding never to steal anything again, and then keeping that commitment.

You can pray, "Jesus, I repent of my sins. I choose to forsake them and to follow You and You alone. I choose to stop choosing to do things I know are wrong and to obey You to the best of my ability."

Step 3: Believe

"And [he] said, 'What must I do to be saved?' And they said, 'Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved'" (Acts 16:30b-31).

This verse gives the last requirement for salvation.

To believe on Jesus Christ for salvation is more than just believing that He exists, for the Bible says that the demons believe and tremble, yet the demons are not saved. It means to believe with your whole heart in the finished work of Jesus suffering on the cross. He died in your place, because the wages of sin is death! You must fully believe to the point that you are willing to live a holy life and live like Jesus did without sin and in the pursuit of helping others. You can believe to this degree if you have truly confessed and repented of your sins. The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ for all who "biblically believe."

You can pray, "Jesus, I believe that you died on the cross so that you could take away my sin. I believe that you rose from the dead so that I could have new life in You. Thank you Jesus!"
